The Loop at Spring Lake Regional Park

The eastern edge of Santa Rosa is home to Spring Lake Regional Park, which contains a paved, 2.3-mile trail that loops around a lake. This trail is highly accessible and features many places to stop along the way, including a variety of pleasant picnic areas and numerous benches to sit on near the lake.

The North Sonoma Mountain Ridge Trail, which runs 3.7 miles through the North Sonoma Mountain Regional Park & Open Space Preserve, is another excellent choice for a moderately difficult trail to hike on. The trail climbs about 2,000 feet through oak and bay forests, providing hikers with beautiful scenery as they walk.
