There are three hatchback-specific models that are available, including the Sport, Sport Touring and the Type R. Because 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback driving by the oceanthe Type R remains a limited production trim, many car shoppers opt for the Sport or the Sport Touring model. Under the hood of most 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback models is a 174-hp, turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. But the Sport and Sport Touring models come instead with a 180-hp version of that engine.

2018 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport features

This is a trim specific to the hatchback body style and comes with all the features available on the LX model, including a rearview camera, Bluetooth, LED running lights, 16-inch wheels, a 5-inch central display screen, a four-speaker sound system, automatic climate control and a USB port. The Sport model also adds 18-inch wheels, foglights and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. There is also special Sport trim bodywork and a dual exhaust on the exterior.

Now the most significant difference between the Sport and Sport Touring models are the features. The Sport Touring carries over all the features from the Sport and adds LED headlights, automatic wipers, heated rear seats, a 12-speaker audio system, a standard Honda Sensing suite of safety technologies, and different 18-inch wheels. There are also heated rear seats and a four-way power passenger seat.
